A Message from our project scientist, Professor Tim Cable

 

This year, we are delighted to welcome our project scientist, Professor Tim Cable, who is the Director of the

School of Sport & Exercise Sciences at Liverpool John Moores University.

  

In collaboration with colleagues he strategically manages the delivery of teaching and research related goals, and plans the future developments needed to maintain his department at the forefront of innovation in Sport and Exercise Sciences in the UK.  The School is renowned for its excellence in teaching and internationally rated research and has been designated as a Centre of Excellence for Teaching and Learning with the award of £4.5M to promote Leadership and Entrepreneurship amongst the student body.

 

Tim has been Director of School since 2002. Tim's PhD research was in the area of Exercise and Ageing, which he studied at the University of Western Australia, where he subsequently lectured in Exercise Biochemistry, before returning to Liverpool John Moores University in 1993 as Senior Lecturer in Exercise Physiology.
