General Advice for Supervising Staff
As experienced teachers you all know the rules about parental consent and risk assessments, so we leave that to you. It is necessary to also comply with the Royal Institution's risk assessment but that is done by hundreds of schools every year and it has been refined to be as simple as possible. Please permit a few general points of advice from the organisers:
Your students are your responsibility.
Please ensure that they respect the venue, its history and the enjoyment of others.
Students should be advised to bring a packed lunch and a mid-afternoon drink.
The event will be video recorded and photographs for publicity purposes will be taken.
It is an implicit assumption of attendance that parental/school permission has been given for these purposes.
Students specifically wishing to be excluded from such videos/photos should make it known to the event organisers prior to commencement. We will respect their wishes.
